Yeah yeah, before you get started… I know its been a while. Quite a while, in fact, but Im here now and ready to give you a little J love… or the closest resemblance I can get to some J love. Either way, Im here and Im que… no wait, that not right.

Im actually here now, because on the actual day I should be writing this, I wont be able to write this. So, technically, this could actually be viewed as a gift of sorts; if you like this sort of thing. And even if you dont, Im typing it anyway… so sit back, relax, and I will tell you a story.

You see… two days and a few hours (technically) from now (but a year ago) I was sitting in an Escalade Limo with my motion sickness trying to get the better of me. I was being driven to a church not that far from my house; feeling a little nervous and excited at the same time. I walked into this church to some family and friends smiling, and eventually proceeded to the front of the sanctuary, into a tiny room. As I was in this room, practicing my lines in a mirror, I was joined by some groomsmen in tuxes. I walked out of this room, in front of a room full of people, and watched this beautiful woman, being escorted by her Dad, come walking towards me. Then a preacher started talking and he asked me to say some words to this beautiful woman, which I promptly forgot right after the first line. After collecting myself, I continued speaking those words, and I lost what I was saying again. After finally getting through it, and listening to the words she said to me; I remember hearing my name, but with a “Mr. and Mrs.” in front of it.

As might be able to guess, that was September 13th, 2008 at about 2 in the afternoon. That was a good day.

That was a day, way back when, I wasnt sure Id ever get to experience. That was a day that ranks right up there with some of the best of my life, if not topping the list actually. That was a day, a beautiful woman (did I mention shes beautiful?) let me have her to experience the rest of my life alongside.

And I damn sure will be experiencing the rest of my life with her.

In just a couple days, we will be celebrating our very first wedding anniversary, surrounded by our parents, on vacation in the Dominican Republic. We will be celebrating the day we both made it official, that we want to only put up with each others crap forever; or as close to forever as we can get anyway.

I still dont think she knows what she got herself into.

All I do know is Im happy. Im not gonna elaborate on that, I am simply going to leave it at, that I am happy. I could add an adjective here and there to try and punctuate it a little more, but I dont think I have to.

Im happy, with everything. Happy anniversary baby!

Yknow Im not sure what to say. I should have been here two days ago. I should have been here at the butt-crack (heh heh, butt-crack) of dawn ready to sit down and tell the world. I really should have been here cause it was a special day… a special day Im going to tell you about now, two days later.

Not that Im condoning it in any way but, honestly, considering how much I post anyway, (hell, that I skipped over all of March and the tail end of my birth month) it shouldnt be a surprise to anyone that I wasnt here two days ago.

Dont get me wrong though, Im still a bastard.

So, 1462 days huh? Whats that about? Im glad you asked.

You see, my life changed 1462 days ago, and in the days since then, its changed even more. On April 16th (yeah I know Im late, shut up), 2005 I met someone. At the time, I didnt know how special she was but I had a feeling even then, that there was just something about her.

Maybe it was because she actually wanted to be seen with me in public. Maybe it was just the cute outfit, that I still remember to this day, that she had on. Maybe it was because she spent seven hours with me, the first time she met me. Maybe it was because she actually wanted to be seen with me in pub… wait, I said that already.

Either way, whatever it was, she turned out to be pretty special. Very special, in fact; if for no other reason than, as I have said many times before, she decided to put up with my crap for 1462 days (so far). Now granted, she decided to agree to make it even more official and legally put up with crap for a long time… which means I might have actually affected her brain enough to not really know what she got herself into.

Shes a pretty smart kid though, so I can only assume she knows and accepts it… which makes her even more special than a paragrapgh ago.
If anyone hasnt guessed yet, which Im assuming you all would have by now… I am talking about Mrs. Jennifer Fellows, my wife.

1462 days ago, we both embarked on a journey that has taken us from our hometowns and close bigger towns, to Mexico and the Dominican Republic. From having our own fantastic familes, to having two familes that love us both and share in dinners, bowling nights and plenty of other stuff. A journey that took us to Christs church in Boardman, Ohio on September 13th, 2008 to make that big leap.

A good journey, a wonderful one even… that is only going to get better as the years go on. She makes me look forward to just about everything, and makes my future something that I dont question or wonder about anymore.

And it all happened because a gorgeous, blonde woman winked at me on Match.com and then, after getting to know each other a bit, decided to meet me almost two months after that on April 16th, 2005.

That was a good day.
